Our 4 year old 47″ LCD/HD TV had been running fine with no problems, then wouldn’t start up one day. It makes a high pitch chirp….chirp….chirp, both the sound and picture do not come up, I’m wondering if a fuse is blown or maybe something else fairly simple is wrong, I am somewhat handy and have a multimeter and solder iron, I’m a technician who works on Audiometers and has 20 years experience repairing Hearing Aids so I know it is much smarter to ask someone before I open it up for a look, any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Jim M.

Chirping from the power supply usually means a short. Check for shorted diodes and transistors. The easiest way to repair it would be to replace the entire power supply board. Call us for current price.
